You will oversee compliance, energy efficiency, technical readiness, and team development, ensuring the hotel opens and operates at the highest standards of safety, quality, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a full maintenance strategy aligned with brand standards Lead the Engineering function from pre-opening through launch and accomplish successful post-opening operations Oversee commissioning, testing, building handover and building systems Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing maintenance team Manage all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) Drive energy conservation, preventive maintenance, and sustainability initiatives Oversee budgets, vendor contracts, and compliance with all UK health and safety regulations Key Skills Strong technical knowledge of all major building systems Excellent prioritisation, organisational, and time management skills Proven leadership and team development capabilities Problem-solving mindset and calm under pressure Solid communication and cross-departmental collaboration About you Experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role in an upmarket hospitality setting for a minimum of 2 years. Comfortable with H&S compliance, budgeting, and sustainability practices. Financially astute and commercially aware Responsible, empathetic, and solutions-focused Flexible, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced environment Tech-savvy and confident using digital systems Experience with hotel openings or refurbishments (desirable) We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
