Controls & Instrumentation Design – SCADA & BESS

We’re looking for a

Controls and Instrumentation Design Engineer

to take the lead in designing

SCADA systems

for substations and Battery Energy Storage projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy solutions that modernize infrastructure and support the transition to a cleaner, smarter grid.

This role is offered on a

hybrid basis , with a blend of office and home working.

What you’ll do:

Lead the design of SCADA systems, including hardware, fibre networks, datalinks, HMI screens, and points lists. Deliver high-quality engineering documents and configuration files. Guide and mentor junior engineers on project work. Support quality checks, specification writing, factory acceptance testing, and cyber security auditing. Provide commissioning support on-site or remotely.

What we’re looking for:

Degree in Engineering (or equivalent). Strong background in controls system design within the power/energy sector. 5+ years’ experience in substations and/or BESS projects. Knowledge of SCADA protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC).<...
