We are looking for experienced Civils Detailed Design Engineers to join our offices across the UK to reinforce our existing civils teams and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies. The UK and Ireland water sector is undergoing a transformative wave of investment and at Jacobs, you’ll be at the heart of delivering it. You’ll join a team of nearly 600 water experts working on high-profile projects, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and diverse challenges.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed design solutions for clean water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
  • Support design-and-build delivery across multiple frameworks
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards
  • Drive innovation and sustainability in water sector engineering

What You'll Need

  • Experience in civil engineering, with knowledge in detailed design and design-and-build execution for water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
  • Member or working towards Chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of design standards, CDM regulations, and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
