Your impact

With major 2026 growth plans, our UK Water team have a number of newly created roles for Civil Engineering professionals. In these roles you will work across multiple national client frameworks, delivering everything from strategic planning and catchment management to feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, and construction and operational support, always being at the forefront of delivering the biggest water and supply projects in a generation. This includes end-to-end services alongside construction partners within United Utilities’ AMP8 framework, and innovation across Strategic Resource Options such as the Fens and Lincs SRO reservoirs.

The possibilities are endless, with roles available across Senior, Principal and Lead. Your remit will include the following:

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver detailed design solutions alongside discipline integration for clean water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
  • Support design-and-build delivery across multiple frameworks
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards
  • Mentor and support colleagues and peers through their professional development
  • Drive innovation and sustainability in water sector engineering

What you’ll need

  • Civil engineer with knowledge in and experience of detailed design and design-and-build execution for water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
  • Ability to deliver civil engineering inputs to multidisciplinary projects, either at specific design stages or across full project lifecycles
  • Experience in the water, wastewater engineering, and effluent treatment sectors
  • Working towards, or at Chartered / Incorporated Engineer status with a professional body such as the ICE or CIWEM
  • Curious about emerging technologies with a strong interest in sustainability
