Project Scope Civil and underground engineering and design aspects of Oil & Gas and Green Energy industry FEED and Detailed Engineering projects. Scope includes civil and underground engineering as applicable to process plant projects. Role reports to the Project Manager and the Kent Civil Structural Group Manager.
Deliverables
Underground planning and schematic development, including coordination of:
Drainage Pressure piping Trenches Culverts Foundations Miscellaneous underground systems
Underground drainage calculations, including plant drainage and SuDS (using Spreadsheet, Microdrainage / Infodrainage) Roads and paving design Civil earthworks models and cut-and-fill calculations (Civils 3D capability an advantage) Underground roads and paving layouts Underground, roads, and paving details Preparation of drawings and documents for planning and consenting, including satisfying planning conditions (if required) Civil calculations and analyses, review and checking of deliverables Preparation of:
Specifications Scopes of Work Engineering Reports Specialist/complex engineering design tasks Inputs to drawings and 3D models MTOs and other project documentation as applicable to civil works, undergrounds, roads, and paving
Comments / Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience
Engineering degree (Honours or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (minimum) Chartered Engineer or member of an appropriate professional organization Experience in FEED, detailed design, and EPC projects In-depth knowledge and experience of applicable national, international, and industry specifications, standards, and codes Strong technical knowledge and experience in:
Civil engineering Earthworks Undergrounds Roads and paving Reinforced concrete structures
Hands-on experience with engineering software and tools relevant to Civil/Undergrounds engineering, e.g.:
Microdrainage / Infodrainage Civils 3D Spreadsheet design tools MicroStation AutoCAD
Knowledge of SuDS engineering and design 3D tools capability and experience required, including S3D and E3D Capable of independent working; client-facing skills Minimum 12 years relevant industry experience
