The Opportunity 

We are looking for early to mid-career Civil Engineer with curiosity, personal drive and technical knowhow. You will be part of the growing multi-disciplinary water team, undertaking the design and delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for sustainable water management.

Within this role you will design and develop solutions to meet project objectives, including performing design calculations, creating engineering drawings and sketches, and preparing specifications and reports for water and wastewater infrastructure projects such as pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. Additionally, you will conduct root cause analysis, feasibility studies, hydraulic modelling, and technical assessments. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other specialists. Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety, and CDM regulations is a key aspect of the role. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team, while supporting innovation in sustainable design, climate resilience, and digital engineering.

Is this role right for you? 

Our growing team of dedicated engineers, technicians and scientist are delivering civil engineering projects for site development, water industry, flood management, energy and transport clients.

We are looking for the following skills, experience and attributes;

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Close to achieving Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the water sector.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, taking projects from optioneering, to outline and detailed designs.
  • A desire to learn, work in a team and produce high quality work
  • Proficiency in design software is desirable, but not essential (e.g., Civil 3D, Infodrainage).
  • Strong communication skills.
