A Civil Engineer within a new infrastructure team based within the Manchester Office. This new permanent role, in a team of drainage, highways and development infrastructure specialists, will support the expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.


Some specific requirements of this role will be to:

  • Develop technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38 and S278 applications.
  • Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new developments.
  • Develop Levels Strategies and manage the production of Earthwork Appraisals.
  • Manage projects with moderate supervision ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
  • Produce Planning Documents such as Flood Risk Assessments/Drainage Technical Notes and Utilities Statements


Requirements

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering.
  • Demonstrate suitable knowledge of relevant design standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards and relevant national planning policy.
  • Be experienced in the preparation of highways and drainage design and in particular S38, S278 and S104 processes.
  • Be experienced in writing flood risk assessments and/or drainage strategy reports for development projects.
  • Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Micro/Infodrainage and/or Causeway flow software.
  • Experience in the use of of AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
  • A full UK driving license, as the role may require you to visit sites only accessible by car.
