Civil Engineer\n\nCardiff\n\n£35k-£40k plus benefits\n\nOur client is looking for bright, enthusiastic, and open-minded individuals to join their office in Cardiff to deliver the exciting road & drainage, water and utilities projects.\n\nWorking within a dynamic team and overseen by a Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of the Civil Engineering design on a range of challenging projects across the water sector including but not limited to new and replacement potable water mains, foul drainage including CSO remediation works and both SuDS and conventional surface water drainage design.\n\nThe role:\n\nSolving engineering problems\nYou will want to work and support a culture in which employees take pride in their work and are focussed on customer service.\nAdept at 3D design and modelling using software such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage\nWater Authority Statutory Approval processes such as S104, S106 etc\nSuDS Approval Body involvement \n\nAbout you:\n\n3+ years' experience in the water industry with potable, surface and foul water design and/or construction\nCivil Engineering degree - Preferably a Masters\nHave measurable progression with or be willing to work towards Professional Qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management\nAbility to manage concurrent projects ensuring prioritisation of tasks and deliverables to ensure effective delivery\nAbility to work using own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work well independently and as part of a team. \n\nOur client is offering a competitive salary to the successful candidate, alongside many employee benefits such as flexible working to support the personal lives of staff, pay professional institution membership fees and social benefits.\n\nIs this role of interest to you?
