The company are an independent consulting engineering practice providing a wide range of Civil, Structural and Fire Engineering services across the UK and Ireland.The company & the opportunityThe company offers expertise in a wide range of structural and civil projects. Working with the public and private sector this is a hands-on position where you will be working directly on design delivery and project management, whilst also mentoring the team of Engineers. It offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary practice with a strong pipeline of diverse projects.The role & skills requiredThe Associate Structural/Civil Engineer will take responsibility for leading and delivering projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will be expected to:Undertake detailed structural design and analysis of buildings and civil engineering structuresPrepare and review structural calculations, drawings and specificationsCarry out structural inspections, surveys and reports for clientsLiaise with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholdersEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and standardsMentor and support graduate/junior engineers within the teamParticipate in site visits, inspections and project meetingsExperience and qualificationsDegree in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng or equivalent)Chartered EngineerRelevant structural engineering experienceStrong technical knowledge across concrete, steel, timber and masonry designProficient in structural design software and 3D modelling (AutoCAD)Excellent communication and client-facing skillsStrong project management capability with ability to deliver to deadlinesThis role is based in Belfast and the candidate needs to be able to commute to the office daily.The package will includeCompetitive salaryFlexible working environmentPension schemeOngoing professional developmentOpportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projectsSupportive team culture and career progression opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
