A Civil Engineer is required to join the dynamic Civil & Structural team in Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the civil engineering design on a variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare.
- Prepare and oversee detailed civil engineering designs including drainage, roads, earthworks, and infrastructure schemes.
- Undertake site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical assessments.
- Work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation and design standards.
- Liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies for planning and approvals.
- Contribute to fee proposals, project planning, and resource management.
- Champion sustainability and low-carbon engineering
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver civil engineering design projects.
- Strong understanding of UK design standards, building regulations, and planning procedures.
- Proficient in civil engineering design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
