A Civil Engineer is required to join the dynamic Civil & Structural team in Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the civil engineering design on a variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, and healthcare. Prepare and oversee detailed civil engineering designs including drainage, roads, earthworks, and infrastructure schemes. Undertake site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical assessments. Work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Ensure designs comply with current legislation and design standards. Liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies for planning and approvals. Contribute to proposals, project planning, and resource management. Champion sustainability and low-carbon engineering
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Proven ability to manage and deliver civil engineering design projects. Strong understanding of UK design standards, building regulations, and planning procedures. Proficient in civil engineering design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD. Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and sustainable engineering.
