Civil Pipeline Engineers - All Levels, Water Services role at Binnies (RSK Group) seeks talented Civil Pipeline Engineers to work within our Water Services team on a broad range of water and wastewater pipeline projects for major water utility clients. While we have offices in multiple regions, we are open to candidates located near our offices and can consider other locations around the UK with hybrid working where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake strategic studies, feasibility work, outline and detailed designs for a wide variety of water utilities projects including water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and reservoir dam safety.
  • Produce calculations and reports to support those designs.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions to their problems.
  • Produce business cases and proposals to enable our clients to fund their projects.
  • Work with construction partners to improve the safety of designs and understand and improve the construction process.
  • Ensure our designs take account of buildability, sustainability, health & safety and environmental requirements.

About You

  • You may be at the early stages of your career, new to the industry, or approaching or at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers or another relevant institution. We may consider candidates without this designation if they have suitable experience and can demonstrate a track record of carrying out work at a similar level.
  • Previous experience in the water sector is not essential; we would look for technical skills transferable to a civil engineering role in the water sector.
  • Desire to support and mentor more junior engineers towards achieving Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (dependent on level of candidate).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and effective team player.
  • A drive to deliver sustainable solutions in the water and environment industries.
