TransPerfect is an established company with a startup culture seeking creative entrepreneurial people to join our team. We’re seeking a Development Operations Engineer to join our global TechOps Team, responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability and maintenance of our internally developed software products from conception to release.

Responsibilities

  • As a DevOps Engineer, assist the Development team in understanding, deploying and maintaining infrastructure related to hosting the TransPerfect SaaS applications.
  • Diagnose configuration issues with these systems in coordination with the development teams. Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure needs, dealing with service requests and technical problems such as server, networking, and automated deployment issues.
  • Effectively provision, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems, build tools and continuous integration tools.
  • Develop, provision and test application deployment automation and orchestration.
  • Leverage CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Pipeline as code, Concourse).
  • Work with application teams to build, maintain, and document Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments via Confluence.
  • Apply strong Unix Shell Scripting, AWS, Java, Python, Jenkins, Git and Docker knowledge.
  • Develop automated build scripts used for release management across environments.
  • Utilize AWS and Azure clouds to develop new tooling and migrate existing tooling.
  • Maintain and evaluate monitoring platforms.
  • Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration with high accuracy and speed.
  • Monitor and examine application, performance, event, and system logs to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Aid in planning data center system expansion.
  • Work with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates).
  • Manage AWS RDS and Azure PaaS databases and services like Redis and Service Bus.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation YAML scripting.
  • Proficient with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understand operating systems including Windows and Linux.

Your experience includes

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with APM monitoring tools
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain key SLAs
  • Understanding of Networking technologies (load balancers, firewalls, VIP, DNS)
  • Provide guidance on DevOps processes and technical/pipeline standards
  • Familiar with Agile Methodology, PowerShell, Active Directory Domain Services, SQL backups, monitoring, network security, ELK Stack, Azure DevOps Services
