Overview

TransPerfect is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our global TechOps Team. The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability and maintenance of our internally developed software products from conception to release.

Responsibilities

• Effectively provision, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems, build tools and continuous integration tools
• Develop, provision and test application deployment automation and orchestration
• Leverage CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Pipeline as Code, Concourse)
• Collaborate with application teams to build, maintain, and document Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments
• Maintain a strong understanding of Unix Shell Scripting, AWS, Java, Python, Jenkins, Git and Docker
• Implement automated build scripts for release management across environments
• Use AWS and Azure to develop new tooling or migrate existing tooling
• Maintain and evaluate monitoring platforms
• Perform design, configuration and analysis with accuracy and speed
• Monitor and troubleshoot application, performance, event, and system logs
• Support planning for data center expansion
• Work with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates)
• Manage AWS RDS and Azure PaaS databases and services (e.g., Redis, Service Bus)
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation YAML scripting
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

Your experience includes

• 2+ years of relevant experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) tools
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and processes like Jenkins
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maintaining key SLAs
• Understanding of networking technologies (load balancers, firewalls, VIP, DNS)
• Ability to guide DevOps processes and technical/pipeline standards
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology, PowerShell, Active Directory, SQL backups and monitoring, network security, ELK Stack, Azure DevOps Services
