Overview

Cloud Engineer - ELK SME contract role. 6 months. Edinburgh/Glasgow - hybrid. £700 per day inside IR35 - Umbrella only.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintenance and management of Elastic stacks (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Configure and maintain large Elastic clusters
• Work with large data sets and implement elastic indexing best practices
• Understand visualization components and techniques in Elasticsearch
• Performance management and tuning of Elasticsearch environment
• Write data ingestion pipelines using Logstash and other tools

Required Skills

• 5 Years UK Residency - BPSS and OPSEC
• The ELK (Elastic Logstash & Kibana) SME extension of Cloud Engineering role with additional 2 years of ELK SME experience
• Professional experience in design, maintenance and management of Elastic stacks
• Experience configuring and maintaining large Elastic clusters
• Experience with large data sets and indexing best practices
• Good understanding of visualization components and techniques in Elasticsearch
• Proven experience in performance management and tuning
• Strong experience writing data ingestion pipelines using Logstash and related tools
