Overview

Cloud Engineer - 5 days per week in office. A great opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer to be working with an international investment bank based in the City. The primary cloud platform is Azure, with limited support for Oracle Cloud. This is a hands-on, technical role and all candidates must have experience supporting IaaS and PaaS services.

Main purpose of the role

• The primary objective is to provide advice, and support and develop the public cloud platforms for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with application teams and other infrastructure teams.
• Implement solutions for applications.
• Work with other members of the cloud team to increase the stability, security and cost effectiveness of the platforms.
• Provide BAU and Project support to cloud users.
• Produce architectural designs based on the business requirements documents for projects.

Work experience

• Scripting experience, ideally with PowerShell.
• Version control experience, ideally Git.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle Cloud
• Experience with AWS
