Applications Engineer – Mill-Turn Specialist

Location: UK & Ireland (Extensive Travel & Regular Overnight Stays Required)

The Opportunity

A leading CNC machine tool company is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with a strong background in mill-turn machining. This is a customer-facing role requiring extensive travel across the UK and Ireland, including regular overnight stays.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical support, training, and turnkey solutions both at customer sites and in-house. From pre-sales activities such as time studies and demonstrations to post-sales support and process optimisation, this role is key to ensuring customers maximise their investment in advanced CNC technology.

Key Responsibilities

Mill-Turn Expertise

Lead the setup, optimisation, and training of mill-turn CNC machines at customer sites.

Develop and refine machining processes for complex, multi-axis components. Customer & Dealer Support

Provide on-site technical assistance and training across the UK & Ireland.

Build strong working relationships with machine operators, engineers, and dealers. Programming & Process Development

Create and optimise CNC programs to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.

Support turnkey projects with detailed time studies and manufacturing solutions. Machine Demonstrations & Sales Support
