CNC Machine Build & Machining Engineer Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Cranfield Contract: Full Time, Permanent Reports to: Engineering Director / Technical Manager
Role Overview
This role involves working on highly integrated, multi-axis ultra-precision machines and motion systems, equipped with intelligent control solutions that often incorporate optical imaging, precision position sensing, and laser-based technologies.
The position is for a multi-skilled CNC Machine Build & Machining Engineer, this is a hybrid position, combining approximately 20% CNC machining Mill-Turn (production and prototype work) with 80% machine building, maintenance, and technical development which will be supported with training. 
Your expertise is in CNC machining, this role will offer you the opportunity, training, and support to expand your skills and the financial support to further your education. You will typically work within a small, collaborative team, though there will be occasions where you will work independently and liaise directly with high-technology customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Build & Maintenance (80%) – Full Training Provided Collaborate with design engineers to refine mechanical, electrical, and control system specifications for the new CNC machine.
