Field Service Engineer – Coffee Machines

£35,000 - £40,000

Location: Manchester and surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-time (including weekend cover on a 1-in-4 rota)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial coffee machines across the North of England.

As the company enters an exciting phase of growth, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in developing and supporting the service function — helping to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Install new commercial coffee machines and ensure correct setup and operation.

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.

Conduct regular maintenance and boiler inspections.

Identify potential issues to prevent future breakdowns.

Maintain detailed job records and process warranty claims using the company’s online system.

Request and fit replacement parts as needed.

Deliver exceptional service, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our high standards.

Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Work closely with the Service and Technical teams to support continuous improvement.

Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a field-based engineer in the commercial coffee machine industry.

Hands-on experience with a variety of machines, including:

Traditional espresso (e.g. Conti, Gaggia, Victoria Arduino, Simonelli)

Bean-to-cup (e.g. Schaerer)

Brewers and hot water boilers (e.g. Bunn)

Coffee grinders

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Confident using mobile devices and laptops for job logging and reporting.

Genuine passion for coffee and coffee equipment.

Full UK driving licence.

PSSR training desirable.
