PPM Recruitment are currently looking for a Commercial Multi Skilled Gas Engineer \n\nThis is a static role working at Cardiff university \n\nThis will be 12 hour shifts within a small maintenance team with a rotation of 4 days, 4-off, 4 nights, 4 off to look after both planned maintenance and reactive repairs of a commercial building\n\nMinimum of L3 qualifications required\nTo undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas and Plumbing and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract.\nTo carry out reactive tasks within SLA's\nTake ownership of the buildings and sub-contractors Main duties\nCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports\nCarry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated paperwork.\nUse handheld technology within the allocated timescales\nAssist other team members when required or as directed from Contract Supervisor/Contract Manager\nEnsure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.\nSupervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety, issue of appropriate Permits, controlling small works, escort duties as required.\nAdopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.\nAll duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nTo understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time \nTo forge and maintain excellent customer relations with onsite clients at all times\nTo carry out work in a safe and diligent manner\nTo comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures \nTo attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required\nTo undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required\nQualified NVQ level 3\nExperience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment\nIncluding, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables,\nBatteries, small power and lighting (where applicable) \nKnowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.\nGas Safe Qualifications in COCN1, ICPN1, ICEA1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CORT1, CCN1 & CEN1.
