Are you an experienced BEMS commissioning engineer? And are you based in or around Aberdeen, Scotland?We’re looking for an ambitious, full-time engineer to join our Scottish region. You’ll be based in Aberdeen, where our business has seen significant growth in the last few years.What you’ll needBEMS commissioning and troubleshooting experience, in both commercial and industrial environments – preferably 3+ years.Strong working knowledge of building systems, HVAC principles, electrical systems, and control strategies.Experience with Trend, Schneider and Sigma systems preferred.Ability to configure and programme BEMS components, such as sensors, controllers, and software interfaces.Familiarity with communication protocols used in BEMS, such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP.Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAn organised and detail-orientated approach to project management.A collaborative, ‘team player’ mentality.Any knowledge of energy efficiency practices, sustainability standards, and UK regulatory requirements is a plus.A full UK driving licence.What you’ll be doing:Delivering a best-in-class service, with customer satisfaction a top priority.Conducting thorough site inspections and building system assessments (including HVAC, lighting and control systems, to identify opportunities for BEMS integration and optimisation.Collaborating with project managers and clients to define project scope, objectives, and requirements for BEMS installation and commissioning.Developing and implementing commissioning plans, procedures and schedules for BEMS projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Configuring and programming BEMS hardware and software components, including sensors, controllers, user interfaces and communication protocols, to enable seamless integration and data exchange.Performing functional testing of BEMS systems to validate proper operation and identify issuesTroubleshooting technical challenges during commissioning and post-installation phases.Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues, refine system configurations and optimise BEMS performance based on real-time data analysis.Providing technical training and support to clients and end users on BEMS operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.Generating comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test reports, system documentation, user manuals and as-built drawings.Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in building automation, energy management and sustainability.Enhancing processes and contributing to BEMS capability advancements.What you’ll get:Competitive salaryCompany car or allowancePrivate health care for you and your family, with online private GPAnnual bonusHealthy reward scheme via health care provider for discounted sportswear, free Apple watches, cinema tickets etcOption to buy additional annual leave days or sell unused leaveLong service rewards, including additional leave after 5 years’ servicePurchase of bicycles via cycle to work schemePersonal development planInvestment in training, including full suite of BCIA courses and personal development trainingParticipation in employee referral scheme – financial payment for referral introductionsFantastic team and work environment, with high staff retention ratesHow to applyApply using the form provided or email careers@kendraenergy.co.uk directly.
