Talent Acquisition Lead at Dalkia UK (EDF Group)OverviewJob Title: Commissioning Engineer – Fire & SecurityLocation: GlasgowJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentReports To: Project ManagerJob PurposeDalkia UK is seeking a dedicated Commissioning Engineer – Fire & Security to support the delivery of high-quality systems across our project portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors to ensure fire and security systems are commissioned in full compliance with British Standards and client specifications. You’ll play a key part in ensuring each system is safe, operational, and ready for handover.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in delivering compliant, fully operational systems on time and within scope.Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain high installation and commissioning standards.Verify that all systems are tested, documented, and demonstrated to clients at handover.Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and final adjustments to ensure systems meet client expectations.Ensure technical and safety compliance in line with British Standards and industry best practices.Work alongside internal teams and external suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve any installation or performance issues.Complete and submit all commissioning paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety on-site, complying with company and legal requirements.Assist with technical queries and liaise with the design team where necessary.Qualifications & ExperienceRecognised apprenticeship or qualification in Fire & Security SystemsHealth & Safety training (e.g. CSCS, IPAF, Manual Handling, etc.)Strong experience in the construction industry and fire/security system installationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Strong communication and reporting skills5+ years of industry experiencePrevious commissioning experience in a similar roleExperience with IT networking and integrated security systemsTeamwork: Positively contributes to team success and collaborationPlanning & Organisation: Effectively manages workload, deadlines, and responsibilitiesCommunication: Clear, concise, and professional in all interactionsCommercial Awareness: Understands the cost implications of work and controls expensesRisk Management: Identifies and mitigates technical and safety risksAdaptability: Thrives in changing environments and handles new challenges with confidenceDrive for Excellence: Takes pride in high-quality work and continual improvementCustomer Focus: Maintains strong working relationships and ensures satisfactionSelf-Motivation: Demonstrates initiative and drive in personal and professional developmentHealth & SafetyAt Dalkia, safety comes first.
