Your new company Our client, a Tier 1 contractor operating in the water industry, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Derbyshire on a 6-month rolling contract.

Your new role You will be working on a sewage treatment works project with scope of work including, but not limited to: Executing commissioning plans and procedures for various mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) systems within the water treatment facility. Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and testing of equipment and systems. Perform functional testing and performance verification of all MEICA systems, including pumps, valves, filters, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during commissioning. Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning records and documentation. Coordinate with other engineers, contractors, and subcontractors during commissioning activities.

What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in commissioning water treatment plants or similar infrastructure projects. A strong understanding of MEICA systems and their integration within water treatment facilities. Experience with commissioning testing procedures and methodologies. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
