The CFD Engineer will promote excellence and quality throughout the Company, applying sound Engineering judgement and practices.Job DescriptionAs a CFD simulation engineer in this pivotal role, you will work with both Engineering Research and Development and other areas to develop mechanical and fluid modelling, definition development, and delivery of system-level models consisting of multiple interconnected components from different engineering disciplines.ResponsibilitiesSystem Design Model – collaborate with stakeholders and prepare system CFD models for hardware design simulationSystem Functional and Non-Functional Analysis – carry out analyses and investigations to create CFD models for the productSystem Functional model and Physical model development – propose new methods and processes to achieve product performanceGuide design optimization from structure, process, material and other design factors based on simulation resultsInvestigate new technologies and stay current on product developmentsProduct Verification and ValidationLead cross-functional technical design reviews on the models createdEnsure system model documentation from initial proposals through first production releaseInitiate and develop a working standard for a future CFD function for regional teamsIdentify and engage external partners to assist and drive CFD model developmentEffectively manage assigned projects to ensure delivery on time and within budgetMaintain products and procedures to European and International standardsIntroduce and maintain engineering processes for technical design and validationPlan validation activities in line with contracted requirements and create appropriate procedures and programmesProduce reports, project plans, and technical documents in support of the design processParticipate in cross-functional teams and collaborate with the engineering team accordinglyLiaise with development technicians to assess results from testingEssential Qualifications / Experience / SkillsBackground in CFD ModellingHands-on experience in virtual modelling to build and verify product solutions for design iterationExperience in a modelling development environment, preferably in R&D or direct customer projectsPrevious experience in model verification testingIn-depth knowledge/experience of CFD modelling software such as STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or other commercial CFD codesSecurity ClearanceDue to the nature of the work, all candidates MUST be eligible for SC ClearanceHow to apply – Direct message the job poster from Owen Daniels. #J-18808-Ljbffr
