Location: London (hybrid working arrangements).

Contract: Permanent, full-time. Working pattern: office-based with hybrid options where possible; you’ll need to be based within reasonable travel distance and attend in person when required, typically 3 days per week (may vary by team or project).

Salary: £54,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus, pension and other flexible benefits. Closing date: Wednesday 8 October 2025.

The Opportunity

Sizewell C is a major UK nuclear project managed to deliver reliable electricity and support Net Zero by 2050. You will join the Technical Directorate as a Configuration Engineer, helping to implement robust Configuration Management processes across the project lifecycle—from design through construction to operation.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the execution of the Overarching Configuration Management Plan and implement scope-specific Configuration Management Plans that integrate with the overarching plan.
  • Implement and improve Configuration Management arrangements (standards, procedures, guidance, forms and tools) to establish and maintain configuration control; review and author CM arrangements; support self-assessments.
  • Simplify complex technical issues to enable smarter, faster decisions.
  • Maintain configuration control so all project elements comply with standards and processes.
  • Provide hands-on support for change control procedures, audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to apply CM plans effectively across the project.
  • Train and empower colleagues to embed CM best practices.

What You’ll Bring

Essential: Demonstrated experience in configuration or engineering management, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of engineering principles.

Desirable: Knowledge of Configuration Management standards, an engineering degree (or equivalent experience), and exposure to large, multi-disciplinary projects.
