What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer
- Ensure the quality and compliance of our wastewater (Non-infra) construction.
- Regular site inspections (3-4 days a week), design and delivery review support, risk and issue identification, and collaborative problem-solving with stakeholders.
- Focus on the construction phase of wastewater (Non-infra) projects, assessing and reporting project progress, addressing issues, assisting project managers, and leading escalation when necessary. Ensure all non-conformances are identified and corrected.
- Review documentation (RAMS, CPP, etc.), oversee all construction activities from conception to completion, and monitor compliance with asset standards, safety, environmental, and quality standards and with broader regulations.
- Post-takeover, manage snags, documentation, liaise on defects, and oversee performance testing.
- Actively contribute to project teams and ensure proper handover documentation.
- Carry out regular health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.
Hybrid – London
As part of this role, you must be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate must drive and have a car.
What you should bring to the role
- Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
- Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification (can be offered as part of the role if not currently held).
- Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the theatre sector.
- Background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector.
- Confidence in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
- Wastewater experience is an advantage.

- Competitive salary from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service (Plus bank holidays).
