Our client is a leading EPC contractor in the Oil & Gas sector and are looking to recruit a Construction Methods Engineer for their Surrey office. Candidate will play a crucial role in a carbon capture project, ensuring fabrication & construction methods activities are properly executed.

Role Overview

• Develop methods procedures and supervise assigned draftsmen and external subcontractors to ensure deliverables, equipment, facilities and services meet specified requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and challenge client requirements for project benefit.
• Interface with construction methods and subcontracting departments, project teams, and clients.
• Assist the Construction Methods Lead in preparing requests for quotation and technical bid evaluations during bid and early EPC phases.
• Participate in site visits, supervise complex operations on-site, and manage them as required.
• Engage in risk assessment sessions and define HSE plans.
• Organize and participate in design and constructability reviews to integrate fabrication and construction requirements early into the design.
• Maintain filing systems, document reviews, and ensure feedback and lessons learned are recorded.
• Act as constructability coordinator during bids or construction engineer during the engineering phase as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabrication and construction methods for oil & gas projects.
