Our team thrives on collaboration, technical excellence, and a shared commitment to shaping the future of energy.Job DescriptionThe Job MissionThis position plays a key role in supporting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations and piping engineering delivery at Hinkley Point C. The role bridges the interface between the NDT contractor and the piping installation scope. Your future team works at the forefront of site execution, quality control, and programme assurance.Deliver piping engineering support to the management of NDT scope on-siteAssist the roll-out and integration of PAUT as a radiography replacementCoordinate engineering topics between piping and NDT contractsTrack documentation and surveillance plans for contractor performanceRespond to technical queries and Early Warnings from site activitiesAdvise on NDT compliance in relation to welded piping systemsSupport piping installation reviews in line with NDT requirementsProvide input into on-site decisions to resolve delivery blockers efficientlyQualificationsEssential Skills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of NDT techniques, including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)Background in piping engineering across installation or construction phasesAble to interpret technical drawings, weld maps, and inspection standardsExperience managing contractor deliverables and surveillance documentationComfortable resolving engineering issues independently, within safety boundariesKnowledge of QA/QC expectations for nuclear or complex infrastructureFamiliarity with construction workflows, handover packs, and punch listingDesired Skills and QualificationsDegree in Mechanical or related Engineering disciplineExperience or certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT or PAUT)Awareness of CDM Regulations and site safety protocolsWorking knowledge of contract engineering or commercial processesUnderstanding of PWR systems or large-bore welded pipeworkAdditional InformationWhy Apply?This is your chance to specialise in one of the most quality-critical aspects of piping delivery on a landmark nuclear programme.
