Position Available: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester (onsite)
Salary: Up to £48,000 + Benefits
Experience needed: Experience driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced production or engineering environment, with strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
About the role
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our operations team, where you\'ll play a key role in supporting manufacturing and assembly activities by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities. You\'ll work across functions to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and strengthen quality, while ensuring sustainable improvement initiatives are embedded throughout the business. From leading root cause investigations to developing and delivering CI plans, you\'ll help shape a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation. This role would suit candidates from industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or other high-technology environments.
What we need from you
- Passion for Continuous Improvement with hands-on experience in a production or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving tools (8D, PDCA, DMAIC)
- Experience developing and maintaining CI metrics, reporting systems, and standardised work processes
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive measurable improvements
- Strong team player with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Organised, proactive, and confident managing projects from start to finish
