Our diverse workforce is committed to personal and professional development, offering rewarding work, inspiring colleagues, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.Our competitive package includes a wide range of benefits and rewards.The positionRES has been awarded the contract to provide safety systems for the construction & commissioning of the 1.4GW East Anglia 3 (EA3) Wind farm & associated OFTO assets.We are seeking Control Engineers to manage system operations and daily site activities from a temporary control room in Lowestoft. Both full-time and contracting positions are available, with a planned start date between April and June 2025.AccountabilitiesAssess the proper operation of the wind farm power controller and report malfunctions.Make manual interventions to ensure compliance with the grid code during controller failures.Manage turbines in the control system as required.Respond to substation alarms, including relay tripping.Prepare switching programs for asset energizations, ensuring compliance with legislation.Perform planned, reactive, and emergency switching on substation assets following approved procedures.Monitor systems remotely, including DTS and ancillary systems.Ensure SCADA communication is fully operational and monitor isolations.Prepare and distribute daily availability reports.Participate in daily planning meetings to coordinate activities and safety measures.Coordinate outage requests and integrate planned outages into schedules.Create and distribute alarm reports, analyze faults, and coordinate site actions.KnowledgeUnderstanding of HV and wind farm systems and assets.Knowledge of HV safety rules and switching policies.SkillsProficiency with SCADA systems.Data interpretation and reporting skills.Effective communication and liaison abilities.ExperiencePrevious authorization as a Control Engineer.Experience in SAP roles (desirable).Experience on offshore projects.Experience with switching schedules.QualificationsFull UK driving license.High voltage electrical safety authorization (desirable).NEBOSH/IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS qualification (or equivalent).At RES, we celebrate diversity, believing it makes us a better company.
