Role: Controls Engineer

Location: Liverpool

Type: Permanent (Hybrid working available)

Salary: Circa GBP 45,000 – GBP 65,000 depending on experience

A UK-based manufacturing company is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing control systems for manufacturing equipment, primarily with Siemens systems.
  • Developing electrical designs using EPLAN software.
  • Ensuring work complies with industry standards such as ATEX.
  • Liaising with customers and other departments to ensure requirements are met.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Qualifications

  • Degree, HND or equivalent Electrical Engineering or Automation qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with PLCs and CAD.
  • Good PLC, HMI and SCADA knowledge and experience; ideally Siemens (S7, TIAPortal) but others considered (e.g., Allen-Bradley).
  • Panel design experience, ideally with EPLAN 8 or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work alone or as part of a team.
