Senior/Principal Control & Protection (C&P) Engineer
AECOM, Manchester, United Kingdom Role overview and responsibilities. Responsibilities
Develop, refine and optimise P&C solutions including creation of key line diagrams, schematic diagrams, relay settings, SCADA topology diagrams, wiring diagrams, design specifications, interface drawings for various Transmission & Distribution clients. Review designs produced by suppliers to ensure designs are technically compliant and in line with National Grid/Client policies and standards. Owner’s Engineer role to review and comment on supplier designs and calculations on behalf of HV Clients including for BESS and Renewables projects. Protection Coordination Study and Settings calculations where required using ETAP or similar software (desirable). Qualifications
An electrical/power engineering or similar qualification, such as an HNC, HND, BSc/BEng and/or an MSc/MEng. Knowledge of transmission HV design process and related project experience (National Grid or SSE preferred). Extensive experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV). Strong client-facing skills and the ability to work flexibly across multiple projects. Experience with transmission voltages 275kV/400kV; consulting, utility, renewable generation or OEM background. Additional Information
