The Controls Engineer will perform configuration activities for Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS) focused on measuring and reporting hazardous air pollutants regulated by federal, state, and local government agencies. The Controls Engineer will configure Allen Bradley Control Logix or Compact Logix systems to accomplish the needs of controlling the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). This configuration will support linked controls, alarming, data gathering, sequencing, etc. The Controls Engineer will also use text file programming to configure the MS Windows based DAHS server.Responsibilities include:Controls Configuration and programming, including sequencing, data handling, and logicProgramming of PLCs and HMI systemsData management and storage within the PLC memorySetup and use of mathematical formulas for pollutant data including data storage in SQL databasesPreparation and submittal of design documents and I/O listsField commissioning activities as neededManaging schedule and customer correspondence on assigned projectsSupporting Factory Acceptance Tests and Field Service Technicians in person or via phone and emailQualifications:1-3 years engineering experience.Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Computer Science considered)Previous experience with programming PLCs, SCADAs, HMI, DCS or control systemsOrganized mindset with detailed abilities to troubleshoot industrial equipment (signals and logic)Computer experience in Windows OS and networking experienceSome travel requiredWorks well in project teams in a collaborative environmentExcellent English written and oral communication skillsCompensation and Benefits: Salary based on skills and experience, medical, dental, vision, 401k, generous PTO.Company Description: Cemtek KVB-Enertec is the leader in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Industry, selling gas analyzer systems and industry specific emissions monitoring software across the country and globally, with a wide range of clients across power, refinery, petro-chemical, and manufacturing industries.
