Minimum of 8 years’ proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the Europe construction industry, preferably on large-scale industrial projects. Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or working towards RICS accreditation Strong knowledge of local measurement rules and standards in the UK construction industry. Proficient in preparing bills of quantities for civil works and MEP disciplines in industrial plant projects. Familiar with market prices for civil works and MEP materials and equipment. Good understanding of local labour rates, productivity benchmarks, and construction equipment rental costs in the UK. Proven experience in managing the full cost control process for industrial plant and lithium battery factory projects. Solid understanding of cost benchmarks for industrial and lithium battery plant projects, with the ability to prepare accurate estimates and budgets. Familiarity with commonly used contract forms and standard terms in the UK construction industry. Experience in handling project claims and negotiations. Proficient in using UK-standard quantity measurement software and cost management platforms.
