Overview

Customer Project Lead (Project Engineer) – Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex orders, working with outside sales and back-office teams in a customer-facing role. Focus on clear communication, expectation management, and delivering results to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance. This role reports to the Talent Acquisition Lead and collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Customer Support, and Supply Chain, as well as Contract Engineers and Customer Support Engineers to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for customers, managing technical and commercial aspects of each project.
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, including inventory oversight and compliance with project terms.
  • Navigate challenges with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex orders, collaborating with outside sales and back-office teams.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • High commercial awareness
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Proven track record of project/contract management
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally
