Role

The role of Customer Solutions Specialist (CSS) is dedicated to providing technical support, subject matter expertise (SME), and product advice and solutions to our regional sales teams and customers. The role may have a domain specialism and sits within the regional Customer Solutions team.

What you will be
The ideal candidate will bring proven technical and solution design skills in a complex technology market. You will be customer facing, able to interface with prospects and customers, identify and propose solutions that improve business processes and success, and present complex technical solutions with credibility. You will join the dots between technology and business benefits, manage customer expectations, and establish technical credibility. You should be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with non-native English speakers. This will include in-person and web-delivered demonstrations and training across the full ecosystem of Seequent products and services. Significant travel can be expected to maintain a strong market orientation.

Responsibilities and approach

  • Product Knowledge
    • Become proficient as a generalist CSS across the Seequent product portfolio including Leapfrog, Central, OpenGround, GeoStudio, PLAXIS and other products as required.
    • Learn from customers how, what, where, and why they use our products and the problems they are solving; feed information back to appropriate teams.
    • Develop and share technical expertise to provide advisory support to customers, colleagues and peers to meet objectives.
  • Professional Capabilities
    • Question, listen and analyse to establish current and desired outcomes; provide solutions aligned to client needs and business results.
    • Be responsive to customer technical queries with timely, professional support.
    • Be authentic; develop as a trusted advisor to clients, peers and prospects.
  • Sales / Revenue Generation
    • Collaborate with regional teams to identify and advance opportunities with new and existing customers.
    • Gather market intelligence and support market development through demonstrations, webinars, and product information.
    • Maintain accurate CRM data to support future business pipeline.
  • Marketing and Business Goals
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and work to improve outcomes and perceptions; assist with product upgrades and new releases.

Qualifications and capabilities

  • Experience in ground investigation, environmental geology, geotechnical engineering, civil or environmental engineering consultancy or related industry.
  • Tertiary qualification in geotechnical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, earth sciences or related discipline.
  • Operational experience in civil or environmental engineering infrastructure construction projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with GIS, geospatial, 3D modelling, geoscience, numerical modelling or data management software is an advantage; experience in FEA/FEM or numerical modelling is a plus.
  • Technical orientation and curiosity for how software works; ability to be regarded as an expert user and technical resource.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and the ability to support sales with technical information, demonstrations, and solution design during pre-sales.
  • Ability to train and demonstrate solutions to both C-level and technical audiences; confident oral and written English (other European languages such as Italian or German are advantageous).
