Leyton Sixth Form College invites applications for the role of Cyber security & Connectivity Engineer. The college serves approximately 2,300 full-time students aged 16–19 and is committed to high-quality education, equity, diversity and belonging, and safeguarding.
The position focuses on cyber security and connectivity, covering all aspects of digital protection of the college perimeter. The role involves configuring and administering the necessary hardware and software to provide full protection from evolving threats, monitoring and analysing threats using up-to-date tools, and acting proactively to remove threats.
Responsibilities
- Protect the college perimeter with appropriate hardware and software configurations.
- Monitor and analyse security threats using current monitoring tools and techniques.
- Act proactively to mitigate and remove threats.
- Collaborate with students, staff and external representatives; maintain effective communication and working relationships.
Qualifications and attributes
- Suitably qualified to teach within a sixth form college.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of sustained improvement leading to positive impact on learners’ progress.
- Commitment to student-centred learning and raising attainment and aspirations.
Working arrangements
Working hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week. Pay Scale: SC12.
