Cyber Security Engineer — 37 hours per week — Permanent contract — £31,537 - £42,839

The ICT shared service provides ICT services for the three South Worcestershire councils – Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council, and Wychavon District Council. We provide support and development to the 700+ users. The Cyber Security Team are on the frontline of defending the Councils from a cyber attack.

About you

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• monitoring and reporting of existing security systems
• implementation of new security systems
• ensuring compliance with security accreditations
• responding to incidents and carrying out security investigations

You will need to have a good working knowledge of:

• Cyber security risks and mitigations
• IT security standards and frameworks
• IT security tools and their implementation including vulnerability scanning and server patching
• IT infrastructure including Microsoft Active Directory
• SIEM implementation and monitoring
