Cyber Software Engineer - National Security. As a Cyber Software Engineer, you will form part of a team that researches, designs and builds critical systems that protect and support our National Security partner’s missions. You will employ secure coding practices to ensure and maintain quality of software delivery, while understanding and integrating with operating systems at a low level. As a Cyber Software Engineer, you’ll likely be curious and have exposure to and expertise in operating systems, networking and network protocols, and low-level systems development.

The Key Requirements

  • Experienced in one or more of C, C++ or C#.
  • Familiar with Python.
  • Used to Linux or Windows based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of version control and used to working in agile environments.
  • An understanding of the Cyber domain.
  • Understanding of common software design and testing patterns.
  • Able to build systems and perform continuous integration.

Where you’ll work

GLOUCESTER - Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.

Clearances – Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 10 years.
