We're seeking a hands-on Data & Analytics Engineer with deep technical expertise across modern data platforms and analytics tooling. This role offers broad ownership-from platform architecture to dashboard delivery-and is ideal for someone who thrives in end-to-end data environments.This role does have on-site requirements and will initally be a 6 month contract.Core ResponsibilitiesArchitect relational and Lakehouse schemas using Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent platformsRebuild legacy SSAS cubes into scalable Lakehouse modelsDesign medallion architectures and govern data pipelinesBuild and orchestrate ETL/ELT flows across ERP, WMS, ecommerce, IoT, and APIsDeliver performant, insightful dashboards using Power BI or similar toolsPrepare curated datasets for AI/ML workflows and automationImplement CI/CD, Git-based source control, and workspace deployment automationDefine and enforce data governance, lineage, and catalog standardsUpskill analysts through documentation, enablement, and stakeholder engagementIdeal SkillsetStrong SQL and data modelling (dimensional, 3NF)Experience with modern data platforms: Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, or similarProficiency in Python and/or PySpark for transformation and orchestrationFamiliarity with orchestration tools like Data Factory, Dataflow Gen2, or Databricks WorkflowsExpertise in dashboard performance tuning, DirectQuery, and incremental refreshCloud-native mindset: Azure, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelinesComfortable with REST APIs, GitHub Actions, and ML Ops toolingAgile delivery, peer reviews, and test-driven developmentALL candidates must be UK based. #J-18808-Ljbffr
