Your new role As a Data Centre Engineer, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the stability and efficiency of our client's core data centres and comms rooms. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be responsible for both the physical infrastructure and the IT hardware within it. You'll work closely with the Cloud & Server Architect and Technology Manager, playing a key part in coordinating installations, moves, changes, and decommissioning of physical assets. You'll also manage third-party vendors, implement new solutions, and ensure the continuous improvement of data centre operations. Expect regular travel to various sites and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
