We are currently working with a well known insurance brand who are looking to add an experienced Data Engineer to their team.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing data flows, working across Python/SQL on modern data platforms, pricing execution tools, as well as locally performed analysis using Excel. You will proactively contribute to the delivery of functional strategy and commercial objectives, always modelling appropriate behaviour and demonstrating a customer-first mindset.

What you’ll need to succeed:

To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced Data Engineer with previous experience in a commercial environment. In addition, you will:

• Possess strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence
• Demonstrate experience of a coding language (SQL as a minimum)
• Have experience of distributed data systems and data lakes, such as Databricks, Snowflake, S3 and/or Lakehouse
• Be familiar with infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with Spark SQL is preferred
• Hold an academic qualification or show proven self-learning in a STEM subject
