A high-performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing centralised Data Management team.

Reporting to the Global Head of Data and holding a highly visible role, the successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. This role has a strong technical/engineering focus, involving optimizing the operation and quality management of the internal data pipeline, from raw data onboarding to delivery of data points to front office/investment teams. You will utilize your technical skills in SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies by analyzing complex datasets. The candidate will also serve as the main interface between data sourcing and data engineering, acting as the point of contact for Traders.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new dataset onboarding platforms, establishing data governance metrics, and assisting in developing a centralized data management platform.

Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst within a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience in programming languages for large dataset analysis are essential, ideally within a financial services data team.

The role offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus that can be substantial. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once established.
