Data Release & Integration Engineer (GitHub, Power BI)

THE COMPANY:

This organisation is building a cutting-edge cloud data platform and needs a Data Release & Integration Engineer to automate releases and integrations across ETL pipelines and Power BI dashboards — with GitHub Actions and Terraform at the centre of everything you do.

THE ROLE:

You’ll be responsible for seamless deployments and environment management for data pipelines and BI solutions, focusing on GitHub Actions, Power BI and Terraform to deliver reliability and speed.

You will:

• Own the GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for ETL and Power BI code.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, ensuring consistency and auditability.
• Optimise Power BI dashboards, models and refresh processes for performance and cost.
• Integrate Jira with code repositories to automate ticket tracking and release readiness.
• Manage non-production environment freshness and data provisioning workflows.
• Implement observability and logging frameworks to improve reliability.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, Data Engineering and Reporting teams to align deployments.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Deep experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD for data and BI assets.
• Proven Terraform expertise for infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Power BI skills including deployment pipelines, DAX and data model optimisation.
• AWS experience (Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR).
• Python scripting for automation and monitoring.
• Advanced SQL for data transformation.
• Jira-to-code integration knowledge desirable.
