OverviewWe’re looking for a Yard / Depot Engineer to join our team in Bridgend. You’ll be supporting the Depot Foreman with the preparation, testing, and repair of generator sets, primarily in the yard, with occasional customer site visits.Base pay rangeSalary: £25,000–£32,000 per yearType: Full-Time, PermanentKey ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and ensure the overall upkeep of generators (15KVA+) for the rental fleet.Assist in yard operations, including loading and offloading equipment.Operate a forklift as required.Re-book generators into stock.Perform off-site servicing and repairs as needed.Participate in on-call rota (currently 1 week in 5, after training).Install and synchronize generator packages on site and in the depot.Maintain high health & safety standards and tidy work areas.Contribute to continuous improvement programs.Skills & ExperienceRelevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) or proven experience with generators/large diesel engines.Full UK driving licence (towing categories preferred).Forklift licence advantageous (training available).Workshop experience beneficial.CSCS card preferred but not essential.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexible approach to work.What’s on Offer23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service).Career development and progression opportunities.Life assurance and employee support services.End-of-year bonus.This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys working with generators and diesel equipment.Must be eligible to work in the UK. #J-18808-Ljbffr
