Design Assurance Engineer,Defence Sector Copello are recruiting for a Design Assurance Engineer to join a defence client on a contract basis. This opportunity offers a hybrid working model (2/3 days onsite per week) and is outside IR35. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all design activities meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. The position is pivotal in managing design integrity, certification readiness, and configuration control across the product lifecycle. Role Overview Working closelywith design, manufacturing, and compliance teams, the Design Assurance Engineer will be responsible for integrating design assurance into the delivery of complex engineering projects. The role includes oversight of non-conformance processes, certification efforts, and configuration management activities. Key Responsibilities Configuration & Version Control Manage part and assembly version rollovers to avoid compatibility issues and maintain traceability. Maintain configuration baselines and ensure consistency with BOM and supporting design documentation. Certification & Compliance Support CE product certification, including compiling technical files and performing conformity assessments.
