Design Engineer (Civils)

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer (Civils) interested in opportunities on a contract basis, to be located in Reading
Key Responsibilities
Develop and produce detailed civil and structural designs, drawings, and specifications. Review project requirements, technical standards, and regulatory compliance to inform design decisions. Perform calculations, structural assessments, and modelling to support design integrity. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, constructible, and integrated. Support project delivery through design reviews, site inspections, and design modifications as required. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design verification packages. Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification. Proven experience in civil or structural design in industrial or precision engineering projects. Strong knowledge of structural analysis, CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D), and design standards (BS, Eurocodes). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
