Job Description:
We are looking to strengthen our engineering team with an EICA Engineer based at Exeter, with hybrid working available and an expectation to attend sites regularly.
- You will report directly to the RDL, providing high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. Your role includes coordinating the design and producing design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications and are practical for construction and commissioning.
- Utilizing standard practices where possible.
- Providing estimates and feedback to the proposals department.
- Following procedures and processes to support departmental development.
- Monitoring and reviewing procedures and processes.
- Writing, updating, and monitoring efficient procedures to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Coordinating designs with internal and external disciplines to benefit the overall contract.
- Fostering a culture where customer satisfaction is key to achieving objectives, considering all beneficiaries of our processes.
- Assisting in maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
- Minimizing waste in departmental activities.
- Considering environmental issues in designs.
- Ensuring designs adhere to health and safety requirements.
