About The Role
Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career; with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in afriendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
Mobile networks- We keep the country connected through the survey, design, installation and maintenance of private 5G networks, small cells, supporting Smart Cities & Connected infrastructure.
Want to come and be a part of it?
Ideally, you will be based near one of our offices in either Diseworth or West Byfleet. However, we are open to considering candidates from across England, provided you are flexible and willing to travel, primarily to London, for site visits
What will you be doing?
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be creating telecom site designs for new builds, upgrades, and relocations, matching customer specs. Working on the MBNL NTQ portfolio (BTEE & 3UK), you’ll team up with CAD, structural, and electrical experts.
This hybrid role mixes home and office work, with site visits when needed.
What you’ll do:
- Help project teams meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Plan workloads, surveys, and dependencies.
- Visit sites, work with clients, and agree on designs.
- Guide CAD teams to create drawings.
- Ensure safety docs meet CDM standards.
- Collaborate with teams to finalise designs.
- Keep systems updated and work top-notch.
What you'll bring?
You’ll need a UK driving licence and be up for travel. Experience with site surveys (rooftops, greenfield, streetworks) and telecom design (ideally MBNL/BTEE/H3G) is key. Know your rigging, electrical schematics, and structural design. Familiarity with ICNIRP and building regs helps, but it’s not a dealbreaker. AutoCAD and MS Office skills are a must. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a bonus. Bring strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude.
What’s in it for you?
- We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include.
- Matched or contributory pension scheme
- Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
