JOB TITLE: Design Engineer

Skills & Qualifications

* BEng in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.

* Previous experience as a Design Engineer or in a comparable role.

* Proven experience using CAD software (SolidWorks experience advantageous).

* Ability to present confidently in front of stakeholders, managers, and customers.

* Strong computational and spatial ability.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Background working for an engineering, manufacturing, or distribution company.

Job Purpose

We are looking for outgoing individuals from an engineering background who are confident in customer-facing roles and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Design Engineer will take design authority for the development of mechanical and hydro-mechanical products and systems. This role involves both technical design and customer interaction, ensuring solutions meet project requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

* Hold design and checking sign-off authority for standard and custom products.

* Review and check work produced by other engineers.

* Act as a product champion for assigned product ranges.
